Happy Diwali!

I have been super busy over the last few days. Mr.A had a test for his driving license, which let me tell you, is not the easiest test to pass if you happen to be taking it in Sweden. My Swedish friends would probably know what I am talking about. But the good thing was, he passed! Yay!

Plus it happened to be on the same day as Diwali, the Indian festival of lights, so that made it doubly special for us. It’s the day that we spend every year with the family, lighting up the entire house in glittery lights, bursting crackers and lighting sparkles, spending time with friends & family,  worshiping Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, and gorging on sweets (well, the last goes without saying for all our festivals, hehe). There are traditions to be followed, new clothes to be worn, and legends to be retold.

Though we are far from home and couldn’t do everything the same way as back home, we made sure to have a good time and feel the festive mood. The evening was pretty awesome, with some friends coming over to visit us. Lots of candles & fairy lights, great chit-chat & hearty laughs, some poker & not-so-poker faces, lots of red wine & assorted home-made pizzas. A very good day. Happy Diwali guys!

On a side-note, I found this cool website called recitethis.com to create typographic posters. That’s where I made this one. The link was shared on this post at How About Orange, a very interesting blog that I often visit to look for great tutorials and other fun stuff. Head over there to see for yourself.
