Weekly Photo Challenge: Eerie

This week’s photo challenge is to portray ‘eerie’. Walking by yourself on an unknown forest path, land and trees covered in several days worth of thick snow, ever get that feeling that you might not be alone after all…turning back more than once, just to make sure?

  1. Eerie and yet for me, a sense of peace and serenity. Perhaps because I love to walk in fresh fallen powdery snow where no one else has left there mark as yet. The eerieness (is there such a word) would, perhaps, come from my thoughts as I walk, or perhaps the time of day. A beautiful scene. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Yes, I’ve had similar feelings, feeling like someone/something is behind me – very eerie. One time, I was hiking into a canyon with a group of other people and got left behind because my backpack was killing me. I heard a set of footsteps above mine and thought someone else was coming behind me, catching up with me. So I stopped and waited – the footsteps continued but nobody came….
